Bombers Rally For Late Win Over Caterpillars
The Bronx Bombers overcame a good performance by Peoria left fielder Augusto Cavazos to knock off Peoria, 8-7, at Excavatar Park. Cavazos went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Bronx reliever Bartolo Alicpa was the winner. His record is now 5-5. The losing pitcher was Gusti Kusuma. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Bronx.

The Bombers got a big at-bat from center fielder Steve Woods. For the game, Woods went 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season gave Bronx a 8-7 lead.
