Phantoms Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Fort Worth
|
Isao Tanaka made an impact in the 6-3 Coronado win over Fort Worth. Tanaka, who is tied for 7th in the NAL in triples with 6, was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Coronado reliever Abdul-Fattah Arfan was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Sumitomo Kondo. The Phantoms saw their record improve to 80-82.
The Phantoms had to work out of trouble in the top of the seventh. The score was 5-2, Coronado, with one out. Fort Worth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Adam Lowry dug in at the plate, but on a full count slider, he struck out.
