Bobby Savoy made an impact in the 6-5 Fairfield win over Chicago. Savoy, the 24 overall pick in the 2031 draft, was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Fairfield reliever Jamie Newitt was the winner. His record is now 4-4. The losing pitcher was Devon Labonte. The Flash saw their record improve to 78-84.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Ian Cutter stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put Fairfield in front, 6-5.

"We found a way to get it done," Cutter said.
