Peoria rode a decent outing from starter Jim Leclair to victory over the Calgary Kodiaks at Foothills Stadium. The final score was 5-2. The 4th-place Caterpillars lifted their record to 71-86.

Andy Levine helped out the Peoria cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3. He drove in 3 runs.

"Jim was pounding the zone," said Peoria manager Roberto Martínez.
