Beavers Come Back Late to Top Rhinos
The Portland Beavers faced a tough opponent in Rubber City pitcher Bob Ruíz, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Rubber Grounds by a final score of 6-4. Ruíz went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Portland reliever Jake Adkins picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Shinzo Sasaki shouldered the loss. Olivier Martin closed it out for his 8th save.

The most important at-bat for Portland came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out, Luke Riviere reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs, putting Portland up, 5-4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Portland manager John Harrison.

The Rhinos fall to 14-19 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.
