Walk-Off Seals 87th Victory for Death Stars
|
The Detroit Death Stars faced a tough opponent in Reno pitcher Maurice Bignold, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Death Star by a final score of 5-4. Bignold went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The 4th-place Raiders have lost 6 straight games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Detroit pinch hitter Jonathan Padilla, facing Andy Jones, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Death Stars the 5-4 win.
