Baristas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rockets
Reno left fielder Shumei Heida had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Heida went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs, even as Silver Lake beat the Rockets, 7-6. Heida was named the player of the game despite the loss. Reliever Jesús Tobías picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Harsha Majoo took the loss. Silver Lake has now won 3 in a row.

The Baristas got a big at-bat from left fielder Luis González. For the game, González went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the bottom of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Silver Lake a 7-6 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," González said.
