Fairfield Flash starter Owen Kay pitched a strong game against the Espanola Bomberos at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, leading the Flash to a 4-3 win. The Flash now own a record of 73-83.

The Flash got a big at-bat from right fielder Nathan Sewell. For the game, Sewell was 1-4 with a walk. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 29th hit of the season gave Fairfield a 4-3 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Kay told reporters after the game.
