Ayliffe Lifts Titans to 5-1 Triumph
The Chicago Titans bested the Bowling Green Racers, 5-1, at Top of the Hill. Virgil Ayliffe was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Matt Calderón picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Masamichi Takeda was tagged with the loss. The Titans improve their record to 73-82 with the win over Bowling Green.

Ayliffe had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from Nelson Cardona, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Titans a 5-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ayliffe.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Ayliffe, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
