Sierra Helps Freeze Beat Bumblebees
|
Minneapolis shortstop Santiago Sierra played a vital role in his team's 12-7 triumph over Pasadena. He went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for Minneapolis. Minneapolis reliever Esteban Sánchez was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Nelson Martinez took the loss. The Freeze bumped their record to 88-65 with this latest triumph.
Tony Littler aided the Minneapolis cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-1 with 2 walks and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Sierra said after the game.
