The Espanola Bomberos picked up a win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, knocking off the Fairfield Flash, 4-1. Starting pitcher Fidel Castro played a key role in the triumph. The Bomberos bumped their record to 77-77 with this latest triumph.

Anson Aubry aided the Espanola cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Espanola manager Jim Crawford.
