St.john Excels in Billings Win
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Bill St.john, the Billings Mustangs defeated the Bronx Bombers, 8-5. St.john was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mustangs. Julio Rivera got the win, improving to 12-6. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Mustangs bumped their record to 90-61 with this latest triumph.
St.john had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Mustangs went on to win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," St.john told the Billings Herald.
