The Eureka Hornets racked up a win at McNichols Stadium, bumping off the Mile High Mustangs, 5-4. Walt Lawson, who started for Eureka, pitched effectively for his team. The winning pitcher was Lawson, now 4-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. The Hornets bumped their record to 21-13 with this latest triumph.
