Daniels Excels, But Argonauts Win
The Astoria Argonauts had to overcome a big game from Peoria right fielder Eric Daniels to leave Excavatar Park with a 6-5 victory. Daniels slugged 2 home runs. Jordan Gradilla picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-2. David Stafford was tagged with the loss. Iestyn Cozens notched his 10th save in 11 chances.

Antony Porter hit a 2-run double off Gusti Kusuma in the top of the eighth, which put the Argonauts in front, 6-5. In addition to the double, Porter had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Astoria manager Bernard Jacq.

Peoria is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
