Detroit Death Stars starter Hector Valencia was in fine form against the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Hole, leading his team to a 3-2 win. In 7 innings, Valencia surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Tom Wilson notched his 11th save in 12 chances.

Matthew Rogers aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4.
