Fort Worth starter Mark Edwards pitched effectively against the Albuquerque Cacti at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 5-0 win. The Cats bumped their record to 83-67 with this latest triumph.

Taylor Waters aided the Fort Worth cause with a 2-run double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Edwards told the Fort Worth Today.
