Phantoms Clip Paczkis in Tight Contest

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Coronado Phantoms got the win.
The Coronado Phantoms faced a tough opponent in Canton pitcher Ryan Davis, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mckinley Park by a final score of 4-3. Davis went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. Roberto Mejía got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Jamie Morgan got the save, his 9th in 11 chances.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Hongwu Huang. For the game, Huang went 1 for 1 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Coronado a 4-3 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Canton skipper Omar Arteaga, "and it cost us."
The Phantoms bumped their record to 76-73 with this latest triumph.
