Barcello Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bomberos
It was a fun time at Casa de Fuego, where the Bowling Green Racers and Espanola Bomberos tangled.

The Bowling Green Racers got a sterling performance from first baseman Paul Rice, but the Bomberos still prevailed, 5-4. Rice was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Bomberos bumped their record to 76-74 with this latest triumph.

The Bomberos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when designated hitter Alfonso Barcello turned a 1-2 cutter from Nelson Cardona into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Espanola a thrilling 5-4 win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Barcello. "And not try to do too much."
