Espanola got a terrific performance from right fielder Frank Chaulk, but it wasn't enough to beat the Bowling Green Racers. Bowling Green won the Casa de Fuego contest, 8-6. Chaulk was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Espanola has now lost 4 straight.

The Racers got a big at-bat from shortstop Simon Leeflang. For the game, Leeflang was 1-1 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Bowling Green a 8-6 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Leeflang told the Bowling Green Daily.
