Reno turned a good effort from starter Benjamin Piece into a win over the Fairfield Flash at Red Rocket Field. The final score was 3-2. The Rockets bumped their record to 79-68 with this latest triumph.

Bill Beasley, who is rated as the 13th best prospect by BNN, aided the Reno cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a double.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Reno manager Tom Morton.
