Canadians Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Silver Lake
|
The Vancouver Canadians bested the Silver Lake Baristas by a score of 7-3, with third baseman Ignacio Ochoa getting the main credit. On the day, Ochoa was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Canadians. Domingo Trinidad picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-8. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. The Canadians now own a record of 70-77.
Vancouver took a 7-1 lead on Ochoa's 13th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Mike Wolcott in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Vancouver to the win.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Vancouver manager Jon Crowe.
