Vancouver right fielder Tameyoshi Okuda had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Okuda was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Silver Lake beat the Canadians, 5-4. Okuda was named the player of the game despite the loss. With the win, Silver Lake has a record of 70-76. Vancouver falls to 69-77.

Tony Gómez, who is rated as the 8th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Silver Lake cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the shortstop was 1-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Gómez told reporters after the game.
