Bumblebees Come Up Short at Billings
Both teams had their chances, but the Billings Mustangs eventually prevailed at Cobb Field.

The Billings Mustangs defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 6-5, at Cobb Field. Billings left fielder Dan Dusin was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ian Portz picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-2. He struck out 4 in 8 innings.

Bill St.john was 1 for 4 with a walk for Billings. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Joe Fresh. It was his 109th walk of the season.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Dusin, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
