Fairfield got a terrific performance from pitcher Grant Huffman, but it wasn't enough to beat the Canton Paczkis. Canton won the Durham Bulls Athletic Park contest, 4-2. Huffman was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Canton reliever Greg O'Dell got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Grant Huffman was tagged with the loss. The last-place Paczkis improved to 63-83.

Juan Politti went 1-3 with a walk against the Flash. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs, putting Canton in front, 2-0.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Politti told the Canton Today.
