|
The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Silver Lake Baristas, 5-0. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Rafael Cruz, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Cai-fei Men was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The 5th-place Canadians improved to 69-76.
Cruz had a key at-bat for Vancouver early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and gave Vancouver an early 2-0 lead.
