Minneapolis withstood an impressive performance by Peoria first baseman Eric Daniels to defeat the Caterpillars, 7-6, at The Ice Box. Daniels went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kyoji Rin, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities. The second-place Freeze now have a 6-game winning streak.

Ernesto Argueta aided the Minneapolis cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a walk.
