Omaha pitcher Angel Chavez did his part in helping his team beat the Calgary Kodiaks, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jason Engel earned his 10th save in 14 chances. The last-place Raptors improved to 52-93.

Stanley Harvey had a big 2-run single for the Raptors in the bottom of the second inning. With Omaha leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Bruce Patterson and stroked the single to right. It was his 136th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Raptors ahead, 4-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Chavez told the Omaha Times.
