The Omaha Raptors defeated the Canton Paczkis, 9-7. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Hoo-gwo Qing, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Omaha reliever Shu-yaan Qi picked up the win, upping his record to 6-17. Tom Cropper absorbed the loss. Jason Engel got the save, his 9th in 13 chances.

Qing had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Tom Cropper, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Raptors a 8-7 lead. It was the 58th hit of the year for Qing.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Qing. "And not try to do too much."

At 51-92, Omaha is in last place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
