Rockets Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Joplin
The Reno Rockets defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 8-5, at Red Rocket Field. Kwang-rak Song was named player of the game for Reno. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. Reno reliever Tsuyoshi Tadokoro picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Carlos Mendoza absorbed the loss. The Rockets bumped their record to 77-65 with this latest triumph.

Song had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Carlos Mendoza, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Rockets a 6-5 lead. It was the 54th hit of the year for Song.

"It was a solid team effort," said Song after the game.
