The Fairfield Flash defeated the Reno Raiders, 5-3. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Nesto Castillo, who was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Paul Calamy got the save, his 12th in 17 chances. At 65-77, Fairfield is in 5th place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division.
Castillo had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Flash went on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Castillo. "And not try to do too much."
