Pioneers Bang Out 8-6 Win Versus South Carolina
|
The Vancouver Pioneers defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 8-6, in Thurman Munson League action at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Baskoro Pamungkas received player of the game honors. The 10-year veteran was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Munemori Abe recorded his 11th save for Vancouver. The Bombers fall to 16-16 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
Pamungkas had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Ángel Ruíz, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Pioneers a 6-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Pamungkas.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Pamungkas said.
