Indian Wells got a strong outing from Héctor Bello as the Aeropostales defeated the Calgary Kodiaks, 4-2, at Stars Field. Bello, now 3-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Chung Chio got the save, his 3rd in 7 chances.

The Aeropostales got a big at-bat from left fielder Andrew Green. For the game, Green was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Indian Wells a 3-0 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Bello said.

The Aeropostales bumped their record to 74-70 with this latest triumph.
