Argonauts Jolt Baristas with Late Rally
Astoria got a strong outing from Chris Pelton as the Argonauts defeated the Silver Lake Baristas, 5-1, at Ashton Gate. Iestyn Cozens got the save, his 9th in 10 chances. The Argonauts bumped their record to 81-64 with this latest triumph.

The Argonauts got a big at-bat from first baseman Roberto Torres. For the game, Torres went 1 for 4. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 158th hit of the season gave Astoria a 2-1 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pelton said.
