Multi-HR Game for Bungay in 8-3 Win
With first baseman Jim Bungay leading the charge, the Joplin Fireballs defeated the Reno Rockets, 8-3, at Red Rocket Field. Bungay, who is tied for 7th in the DKL in total bases with 251, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Fireballs bumped their record to 81-60 with this latest triumph.

Bungay had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 curveball from Tsuyoshi Tadokoro, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Fireballs a 3-1 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Bungay.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bungay told the Joplin Bulletin.
