Mustangs Win at Fort Worth, 4-1

With second baseman Mike Pope leading the charge, the Billings Mustangs defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 4-1, at LaGrave Field. Pope, who is tied for 4th in the DKL in total bases with 269, was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Julio Rivera got the win, improving to 11-6. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 3. The Mustangs bumped their record to 82-58 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
