Kodiaks Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Fort Worth
|
The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 7-4, in Darryl Kile League action at Foothills Stadium, with Calgary pitcher Bruce Patterson named player of the game. Patterson got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 9 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Patterson allowed 2 earned runs. Nobutoshi Katayama notched his 10th save in 16 chances.
Emanuel Torres aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Torres said.
Calgary's record now stands at 63-77, placing them 5th in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
