Phantoms Win at Minneapolis, 4-2
|
The Coronado Phantoms stymied the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-2, at The Ice Box. Hongwu Huang, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Coronado. The Phantoms bumped their record to 72-66 with this latest triumph.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from right fielder Shunen Miyazaki. For the game, Miyazaki was 1 for 4. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 50th hit of the season gave Coronado a 3-2 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Miyazaki.
