Loss Extends Omaha Losing Streak

The Cacti faced a stiff challenge from Omaha pitcher Michael Walsh, but persevered to claim a win at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Walsh went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Albuquerque reliever Mario Deleón picked up the win, upping his record to 9-2. Michael Walsh took the loss. Britt Diaz, credited with the save, is now 1 for 6 in save opportunities.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from shortstop Jesus Villanueva. For the game, Villanueva went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 76th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 2-0 lead.
