The Peoria Caterpillars picked up a win at Excavatar Park, knocking off the Vancouver Canadians, 5-3. Starting pitcher Morihiro Hashimoto was an essential part of his team's success. Peoria reliever Adam Stickells picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Bob Johnston absorbed the loss. Peoria has now won 4 straight.

Had Mike Burge not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Burge hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Caterpillars.

"We take it day by day here," said Burge, "and today was a good one for us."
