Mustangs Clip Raiders in Tight Contest
The Billings Mustangs got a strong performance from pitcher Norberto Bianchi, who stymied the Reno offense en route to a 3-2 win at House of Pain. Bianchi, now 7-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs. Tony Varela converted his 5th save in 6 tries.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kendrick MacAulay. For the game, MacAulay was 2-5 with 2 singles. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 49th hit of the season gave Billings a 3-2 lead.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Billings manager Bill Martin.

The Mustangs bumped their record to 79-57 with this latest triumph.
