Bombers Clip Pioneers in Tight Contest
|
The South Carolina Bombers defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 6-5. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Glenn Roethlisberger, who was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Pioneers drop to 14-17 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
Had Shawn Harris not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Harris hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Bombers.
"I like our mindset right now," said South Carolina manager Randy Huggett.
