The Bloomington Blazers grabbed a 5-4 win over the Maple Marauders at Legends Park. Bloomington center fielder Lucifer Sam went 3 for 5 with 3 singles to earn player of the game honors. Bloomington, now 1-2, is off to a slow start.

Sam had a big at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Blazers went on to win.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Maple manager Jesús Alfaro said following the tough loss.
