|
Vancouver starter Cai-fei Men pitched effectively against the Fairfield Flash at Stanley Park. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Men picked up the win for Vancouver, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-6. Jake Adkins notched his 13th save in 14 chances.
Jesús Castillo aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Castillo said after the game.
Vancouver currently is in 5th place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division at 62-73.
