Torres Helps Argonauts Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Astoria Argonauts beat the Omaha Raptors, 14-3, at Golden Fleece Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Roberto Torres, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. The Argonauts, now 76-60, have won 4 in a row.
Edmund McDonald, who is tied for 9th in the DKL in home runs with 21, aided the Astoria cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice.
