Multi-HR Game for Back in 9-3 Win
|
It was a fun time at Stanley Park, where the Fairfield Flash and Vancouver Canadians tangled.
The Vancouver Canadians topped the Fairfield Flash, 9-3, with youngster Cheol-chung Back playing a key role. Back went 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Canadians in the win. The winning continues for Vancouver, with the latest making it 8 straight.
Back had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 splitter from Frank Hillier, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Canadians a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Back.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Back said.
