Raiders Continue Skid Thanks to Wolf, Coal Miners
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Herman Wolf, the Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Reno Raiders, 7-1. Wolf hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Coal Miners. Takeji Ogawa got the win, improving to 11-7. He worked 9 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Antioch leads the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League by 13½ games.

Wolf had a key at-bat for Antioch early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave Antioch an early 2-0 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Wolf said.
