Behind a solid performance from left fielder Lonnie Martin, the Bronx Bombers defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 6-5. Martin was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Bombers. Steve Misiak was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities. The Bombers improved to 51-83.

Martin had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Bombers went on to win.
