It was a fun time at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, where the Calgary Kodiaks and Fairfield Flash tangled.
The Fairfield Flash beat the Calgary Kodiaks, 3-0, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Fairfield shortstop Ian Cutter earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Royce Leveque earned his 2nd save in 5 chances.
In the top of the ninth, Emanuel Torres stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Kodiaks were trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Royce Leveque made a terrific pitch and Torres grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Calgary comeback.
Fairfield now sits at 60-71, while Calgary falls to 59-73.
