Late Rally by Bumblebees Secures Win
The Pasadena Bumblebees picked up a win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, knocking off the Albuquerque Cacti, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jerry Kennedy, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Vince Johnson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 16 save opportunities. The Cacti, now 71-60, have lost 5 straight.

The Bumblebees got a big at-bat from catcher Carlton Jackson. For the game, Jackson went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Pasadena a 4-2 lead.

Albuquerque manager Tom Robertson said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
