The Aeropostales grabbed a win, 3-2, at Stars Field, overcoming a fine effort from Reno pitcher Eduardo Marino. Marino went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 69-62 with this latest triumph.
The Aeropostales got a big at-bat from first baseman George Bowman. For the game, Bowman went 2-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Indian Wells a 2-1 lead.
Reno manager Chris Brading said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
